Don't Let Anything Keep You From Being Your Best

What stands between you and complete happiness? You wake up in the morning and from there the choice is 100% yours. Before you roll out of bed, tell yourself today is going to be a great day. You'd be surprised the tone it sets for the rest of the day. If you start to feel like that happiness is slipping away, try this!:

Too much energy gets wasted sweating the small stuff so the next time you find yourself reacting negatively to something:

1) Step back for a moment and take a deep breath
2) Find the good even if it’s only a possible good, for instance missing that green light could have prevented you from getting in a car accident later down the road)
3) Move on with your day

Cheers!

Need Direction?

At 23 years old, I often ask myself what I am doing with my life. I am a self motivated guy but I haven't accomplished as much I had expected to by now. There are plenty of people my age that feel this way too. I wanted to share this inspirational quote from Neale Donald Walsch's Bringers of the Light.
The book is filled with so many quote worthy lines. This one in particular stood out to me but pick up a copy for your self and you'll find plenty of gems just like this one:

"If your life is directionless, it is because you have not set a direction. If your life is without accomplishment, it is because you do not know what you are seeking to accomplish. if your life has seemed pointless, it is because you have not sought to use it as a tool with which to make a point."

Grab a pen and paper and actually write out your goals. Break down each goal into strategies you can use to accomplish those goals. If you need help getting started check this out. If you're like me...shoot, even if you're not like me; Set the bar high for yourself. When you get to that point, set it higher! It helps if you say what you want out loud. Believe that you can have it, then go out and make it happen! Today your day!

Game Theory

Recently some professors at Stanford University put together an online class called Game Theory. Commonly you would expect to pay a small fortune to take a class from Stanford. Unlike most college courses, this one is open to anyone and completely FREE. You will not receive any credits towards a degree for taking this class. You will however, have a unique opportunity to gain knowledge from one of the finest Universities around. There are only a couple of requirements to take the course: You should be familiar with basic probability theory and basic calculus. This is the first class of its kind but i have a feeling it wont be the last. Happy learning!
